Philly Happy Hour + Dinner at Michael’s New York
Snap(shot) Judgements are posts that will appear with no real regularity. It’s primarily a way for us to get thoughts and photos up as soon as possible, especially when we have no plan to write a feature-length column on the subject. Here, Gary enjoys some fine Philadelphia-imported cocktails and sticks around for a nice dinner at Michael’s New York.
A few weeks ago, I was invited by the Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corp. to a happy hour they were hosting at Michael’s New York. For this event, they sent up some bartenders from the Franklin Mortgage & Investment Co., cocktail bar in Philadelphia that serves classic cocktails as well as two they created there, which they were kind enough to serve at this happy hour. As the happy hour wound down, the folks at Michael’s invited me to stay at a dinner they were holding for other bloggers/media folks to showcase their fall menu. Of course, I kindly accepted that invitation and sat down with the fun folks from The Feisty Foodie for a nice dinner.
Many thanks to Cara Schneider and Caroline Bean from the Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corp. for the invitation to the happy hour and to Monique Ianos and Rachel Ayotte of Bread & Butter PR for extending the invitation to dinner as well.
